1919 The Royal Domination Begins
The East Perth Football Club is, unequivocally, one of WA’s great sporting institutions. Revered by many, respected by all, the regal royal blue-and-black colours have made a massive impact in their 114 seasons in the Western Australian Football League.
The likes of West Perth (1885), East Fremantle (1898), Perth (1899), South Fremantle (1900) and Subiaco (1901) all joined the then Western Australia Football Association before East Perth (1906). However, Young Easts made an almost immediate impact, reaching the 1909 finals. A year later they made the Grand Final, only to lose to Old Easts in the first of 11 title deciders the two adversaries have met in.
